Health Food Store Dangers

Are all of your health food store purchases healthy for you?

Buyer be smart.

Do you buy your dry cereal at the health food store thinking it’s healthy for you because it’s made with “organic sugar” or sweetened with fruit juice?

Whoops, think again. Any sweets whether organic or concentrated fruit juice, affect your metabolism the same as plain old table sugar. They still spike your blood sugar, causing havoc in your glands that control blood sugar, the pancreas, adrenals and liver.

If you’re sensitized (allergic or addicted) to table sugar you may tolerate concentrated fruit juice better than table sugar (sucrose).

But “organic sugar” is still sugar (maybe minus a few trace chemicals).

And sugar (concentrated sweets) cause a multitude of problems in your body.

Sugar ages you faster than you should, causing more wrinkles.

Sugar makes it harder for your immune system to fight off infections.

Sugar can interfere with digestion.

Sugar cause degeneration in your body.

But sugar (sweets) sell products.

So food manufacturers entice you to think your doing something healthy for your body by using “organic sugar”. That’s because they sell more food products and justify significant price increases for their products simply by printing the word “organic” on the label. But as you can see “organic” is not always a synonym for “healthy.”

Sugar is the first problem and over-processing is the second problem. Over-processed flour or grain becomes dead food that stresses your body.

Corn certainly becomes dead food when it’s processed into cornflakes.

First it’s heated ( cooked) for almost 2 1/2 hours. Then it’s pressed by rollers to form the flakes, shaken and moved along on the conveyor belt. A syrup spray, heated to 425 degrees Fahrenheit, coats it. Lastly synthetic vitamins are sprayed on it and it moves into the package.

Yes, it’s dead food, thoroughly thrashed, bashed, overcooked, devoid of all enzymes and diminished in vitamin and other nutrient content. Synthetic vitamins aren’t so great either.

So avoid all those highly processed, nutritionally deficient “organic” foods like organic potato chips, corn chips, donuts, waffles, sugar-added cereals, pizza, and frozen dinners.

Shop from the same aisles in the health food store as you would in the regular grocery store. Simply choose your food from the produce and meat section and carefully find the other whole food such as whole grain products and nuts.

Food Preparation for Livestock

Pet owners are concerned about the health of their dogs. And the item we are most concerned about is food. Dog food recalls seem to be happening more often and this is the reason pet owners are concerned for pet food preparation.

Can you remember a time when dogs were fed table food scraps and they were left to wander about the farm or the community and folks or neighbors might toss some food in their direction? None of these foods had hurt these dogs.

If your pet passed a butcher shop, a bone or a piece of meat may have given to him, if he passed a bakery, perhaps he was given an egg, and as he passed a farmer milking his dairy cow he probably received a squirt of milk.

When I raised German shepherd dogs a trip to the grocery store allowed me to purchase leftover bones and meat cuttings from the meat counter to be used for dog food. If this opportunity is open to you, great!

Currently, in the city where I reside grocery sores are not permitted to sell these bones and scraps.

Then commercial pet foods came along and turned the heads of pet owners with promises of their prized healthy dog food recipe, excellent nutrients, and convenience for pet owners at a reasonable price.

Regardless of where you got your meat for the high protein content, or the dry or canned commercial dog foods, I do not recall ever hearing about a dog getting sick as much as we do today. And today there are many pet foods recalls which cause alarm for pet owners because of dog illnesses. And information about pet food preparation is now available for the general public.

Do you remember when television dinners and fast foods were first introduced for people to eat? These served as occasional meals and were particularly handy when traveling or there truly was no time for making a home cooked meal.

Have you begun to notice the fact that now in both situations, we are hearing of animals and people getting sick from commercially produced foods? What is the problem?

One sure ingredient causing problems is sugar. Too much sugar in both animal and people food. Now we hear much about overweight, immune deficiency diseases, heart and circulation diseases, and diabetes on the increase. Dogs and people are having health problems which seemingly are related to the ingredients in our food. Pet food preparation pet owners is becoming a popular trend.

Where are the wholesome foods for us and our pets? Why are there so many preservatives, chemicals, dyes, and names of ingredients that we cannot pronounce being put into food?

Pet owners are questioning ingredients in pet foods, both dry and canned, because their pets are getting sick. If commercially prepared pet food is so good why have there been so many dog food recalls and cat food recalls by the pet food industry?

You have read or heard of human error at the factory, or the wrong additive being added to the food or too high a dose of certain vitamins, wrong ingredientsFind Article, and contaminated ingredients from foreign countries.

What Is The Difference Between Juicers And Food Processors

Juicer functions

The only function of a juicer is to extract juice from a wide range of fruits and vegetables, leaving behind two finished products. One of them is the squeezed juice, while the other is the pulp, which remains behind after the juice has been extracted.

 Juicer types

Juicers are widely available in numerous models based on the required juicing function. Available models vary from the very basic to more complex ones. Juicers can be masticating, centrifugal or triturating ones. These three are all juice extractors. During the juicing process, they extract the juice, while the juice is also separated from the pulp.

In the case of a centrifugal juicer, the food is cut into small parts with a blade, which then spins with high speed extracting the juice. With a masticating juicer, the food is first “chewed” then forced through a screen. The pulp is eliminated, leaving you with a nutrient-rich juice.

Lastly, a triturating juicer smashed the food with gears. The pulp remains at the top of the gears, while the juice flows out through the specially designed holes. Generally, this type of juicer is the most expensive, but also the most effective model that is currently available.

 Food processor functions

Basically, they do not work with liquids and food is also not separated, as the copped food is still together. Food processors have numerous functions, as they grate, chop, knead, grind, shave, slice, crush and puree.

 Food processor types

Food processors are not available in many models or types. They can be hand-powered, mostly used for chopping a reduced amount of onion, for instance and electrically powered ones. Actually, a food processor is all about its blade attachment. The blade is the one that actually differentiates one food processor from the other.

A food processor comes along with a basic s-shaped blade for basic slicing functions. Other discs and blades allow you to prepare different doughsHealth Fitness Articles, including bread or pizza. There are also attachments that can grind up spices or are able to whisk eggs for delicious meringues.
